Twice my shortnote has been removed. The first time I could easily see why: I was trying to make a table with html so that I could put some lines of text next to a picture which would be the same height as the three lines of text put together, and I failed to code it right and it messed the entire dynasty exchange table up. I saw right away that I had done it wrong and I was about to fix it but when I got to my profile page, all my hard work had been deleted, so I couldn't even fix my mistake : (
Anyways, I tried again today. This time, I was successful on the first try and I didn't mess the dynasty exchange table up at all. In fact, the format of my shortnote was just the same as someone else's! So why did someone remove it again??
And why did no one tell inform me WHY my shortnote got removed so that I would know what I did wrong? If you want me to stop doing something, I need to know what it is that I did that wasn't allowed.

We had an issue earlier where some short notes were messing the format of the dynasty exchange page & some were too big. I deleted yours as it was too big & stretching the page. Another admin deleted others for being to big at the same time as well.

Well I thought after I tried again that it wasn't stretching the page at all. And it was much smaller than many other people's which are still on the page. So how do I know what size I can make it without someone deleting it?
I don't understand why it was deleted the second time, because it wasn't stretching the page or messing up the dynasty exchange table format at all that I could see.

I also had my short notes deleated, and without knowing why? I can only assume that I am in error of something? So I guess I have to add it all in exactley the same way, and hope if it gets deleated again by someone, that someone will mail me the reason, so I can correct it. Simple request isn't it. I would do the same for you.
I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was using a table, and because of that, the lines of text that I had that were too long weren't automatically going down to the next line, instead they would stretch the page out. If you are using a table you need to make sure your lines of text are very short and that you insert your own line breaks. Maybe that was your problem too?
Even if you check the dynasty page and it appears fine in your browser, it might not for others.
I was messing up the page, and it appeared fine to me, but to some other users it was messing the page up.
Currently short note rules are being written, which should hopefully help all of us to understand why the admins/mods alter and remove notes, and hopefully we can prevent that happening when we know the rules!
Mostly the admins or mods put the reasons in <> so we know what we are doing wrong, if not you can always ask and you will get a reply, like I did.
Basically stick to BASIC HTML and you will be fine
