OK to build up credits i would recommend only showing one link.
I've had a look at your profile and you are showing 4 minicity links. This is pretty pointless as only one unique click per person on here will even count for your game.
My other tip would be to join a dynasty and then just show your link on the dynasty page (and not the main one). If you pick one of the top 5 dynasties then you will still be getting a lot of clicks.
Lastly, come back to the site as often as you can during the day and click click click.
Good luck
You are almost there. But you will need to delete those other three links entirely.
At the moment I can click one link on the dynasty page and then all the other 3 on the history page.
Posted: Thu May 01, 2008 9:18 pm Dynasties - keeping up with Credits
OK, I have only 1 link, and I still CANNOT keep up with the links / debit system here.
I started out with 30 or 40 credits, and I clicked EVERYTHING in all sections (dynasty exchange, history, etc).
I still end up with 0 (or less) credits. How in the world can one keep one's head above water here? I have nothing to click, waited...waited, refreshed, etc. and got a couple more credits, but within a minute they are gone!
Is this because people will have HIDDEN links that all they do is click/gain, but never link/give-up credits? Seems like this "economy" has a serious balance issue.
Perhaps if a link is hidden, one cannot TAKE credits by clicking for a set period of time (i.e. 24 hrs, 8 hrs. whatever).
My theory is, people can come in, click all over - hide their links, and take the credits of any and all new members.
Your theory isn't actually correct. In order to be able to click you have to have a link showing.
Unless people have deleted their links (which really isn't viewed very favourably) or they are a VIP, if they have clicked you then you will be able to click them in history.
I think it can be hard to get started on the site, but if you check back a couple times a day then you can definitely click more links and start to get ahead.
Well, I am not sure. I have clicked everything I can for the past several hours (don't ask - I'm bored). And while occasionally something shows up in the history list (which I click immediately), I still end up with 0 or -0.xx credits.
So unless there are people able to click more often than once a day, yet only have a daily link refresh, I do not see how my net gain is less than my net clicks.
Theoretically, shouldn't my credits never change? I mean, if I start with 50, and I click *everything* in the List Exchange, the Dynasty (and allies), AND the History, I would be going up by whatever in the dynasty section, link exchange, etc. And any credit loss would be recovered by clicking everything in the history section, no?
So why would I go from 50 (or whatever it was I started with) to less than 0?
There are NO LINKS showing in my dynasty, allies, history, or link exchange section. When they do show up after a refresh, I click them. I even wait and let the site hit those that need a wait.
I'm just confused, I suppose.

Sorry for the double-post, but while we're on this, what does this mean:
"You already visited this trap." on a blank white page when clicking a link.
Also, what are the numbers in the link section <-1> or <-0.518388> etc. mean?
Hmm, well I looked up your profile. I can see you are just showing your link in dynasty which is good for building credits.
The problem is that despite all your efforts you are still clicking less people per day than what your own link is being clicked. (although good effort today)
This could be for a number of reasons:-
1. You might not be letting the links you do click load properly. Some links require them to be open for a while before you get credit for the click. (I doubt this is the problem, but its worth mentioning just in case)
2. Most people have their links set so you can only click them once in every 24 hours. This can make things tricky if you click at drastically different times each day as there simply won't be as many links to click. Best bet here is to try to click around the same time each day, or try to come back at a few different times within each day.
3. Timezones can make a difference. We have users here from all over the world and some of them only show their links during their own waking hours (cause their games require them to be online or whatever). I notice this a bit coming from Australia as we are pretty much opposite to europe and america, but I don't think you have this problem.
If you really want to build up credits then try to click everything on the main exchange page first before you move on to the dynasty exchange and history pages. That way you will catch the people who don't have many credits and who are not in your dynasty or allies.
Anyway, hope that explains/helps a little. On to your next questions....

This happens when you have clicked a link more than once. Maybe you clicked it on the main page and then also clicked it on the dynasty page. Maybe slow down a little with your clicks and refresh the pages a little more often and then this should happen less.

That shows up when a player has run out of credits. -1 means they have -1 credits. Not amazingly relevant these days as we have a 25 credit transfer minimum, but in the past players used to use that to work out how many credits to send so they could click the link.
Let me know if you have any more questions and good luck with the clicking - B
Thanks for clarifying all this; I think I have it figured out - however, the average clicks per day went down because mine.nu was down for me for several days (it just loaded a blank white page). So, for me, this site is hit-or-miss, but when it's up, I am here clicking.
