Posted: Mon Nov 17, 2008 4:11 pm Timer not working
I'm guessing that this has something to do with the update, since nothing changed on my end since Friday.
The timer that displays on the link exchange pages is not displaying. It shows the link name and the box, but the counter itself isn't actually displaying.
It is your won fault You have to care for your Browsers and PC
If you are using IE7, Go to tools ( Top Of The Page ) File, Edit, View, Favorite, ( Tools ) Help
Click Tools.
Select first one ( Delete Browsing History )
You will get a small page. Delete everything one by one. Don't delete Password. ( You can delete password too, it will annoying you late, when you will stat work with it )
Click the close button.
If you are with Firefox,
Go to Tools ( Top Of The Page ) File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, ( Tools ) Help
Click on Tools
Then go down
Select - Clear Private Data ( If you still can't find this - then press your CTRL + Shift + Del )
Select everything from that small page. ( Don't select Saved Passwords )
Click - Clear Private Data Now.
It will ask you to restart your Firefox ? Just click the restart button. ( No need to reboot your pc )
Now, go and see, everything is ok like before Do it one time in a month. Like you need to do something for your PC to make it faster and work full.

MainCore, If you don't mind - don't use Linux, if you are not a programmer
I have two pc. XP one for everything. And Linux for programming / coding.
Well, surprise, I've been programming since before Linux came to life, on several Unix flavors. But where did you get that ridiculous idea you have to be a programmer to use Linux? Come on, I can't believe there are people supporting that ancient idea. Maybe it was true many years ago when the only way to do thing in Linux was using a prompt, but guess what: OS does evolve and today anyone can use Linux without having a clue about programming. Please, update yourself.
PD: the first idea almost anyone had about solving the counter problem was resetting the browser cache and related stuff.

The customize button is not going to fix the fact that the box that is supposed to show my timer for all of the sites is blank. This isn't an option that shows in customize, because this isn't part of the list. This is the row across the top that shows all of the timers for all sites that you have outstanding.
clearing the cache obviously didn't work, just to make sure everyone is crystal clear about what we're talking about, here's a pic
see? no countdown clocks, they annoyed me when they worked but now that they're gone I missem ='[
