Dear Yarold members.

Very often short notes get deleted because of beeing to big. I then often hear from different members, that when they checked it, the short note where showing a correct height and width.

Yes, they maybe where correct for you but not for the Mods and Admins that use a tool to check the size of all short notes.

You can read all about short notes here:
http://yarold.eu/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4781

The main problem of the size check is already written by Stan here:
http://yarold.eu/phpBB2/v...p?p=34671#34671
Since this clearing words from Stan are somewhere in the middle of a thread I thought about making a new posting for everyone to find easily.

So whats the problem:
The problem is, that the size check only shows the correct size when your Browsers Zoom is set to normal.

If you Zoom out the size check will always show a lower amount then it really has.

So what to do?
- Before you do the size check always set your Browser to Zoom normal (in Firefox just hit Ctrl + 0 together).
- Then do the size check.
- After the size check you can set your zoom again however you like it.

I hope it helps a bit.

Roman

P.s.
Of course also ALL Mods and Admins need to use the normal Zoom when they check all short notes too ;-)

Thanks Roman ...
this is something that I did not know.
now I understand why my notes are correct for me, and they are not for the administrators and moderators.

I think this is a very important information. (Some are angry with this ... )

Thankssssss

One of the links is dead, the other leads in the archive.
Where is the new tutorial about short notes to be found?
