I doubt I'll be hitting 1 link a day with these massive downtimes and slowdowns. I'll keep checking back here and there, but I'm not spending 2 minutes a page/link.

I have not been able to connect to SWLE for several days, only just now being able to get to the forums (the forums were also not available for a few days).

I know the net can get busy, but seriously, being locked out for so long has pushed me to other exchanges, which is fine, but I do like Yarold's efforts here.

Is there a reason the exchange is down for so many people? Or are we a minority?

By the site being "down" I mean, I click my bookmark to the SWLE, and the browser sits there, blank white page, busy cursor... nothing.

What would really be great is if the transfer system was integrated with the clicking system.

So if I see someone in my History with <-xxx> I can click that to transfer 1 credit and click it at the same time...

Of course, I am very lazy and always look for the easy way out...

Which counter do you use to tell how many clicks a user has? There is one number at the top of my History list, another in the Dynasty list.

Exactly why I assumed it was a false positive and why I blamed AVG in my post. I added this thread in case anyone else running AVG version 8 saw this and was curious.

It makes more sense if you ever put your link up on the main page (even for a few hours)... its the only way to recoup your credit loss; unless the person who clicked your link removes theirs (which too many do).

what are the numbers to be a good dynasty person..
i wish not to get kick as i am very new to this..

I often clear the Dynasty and Allies, as well as the Link Exchange and of course, the History.

Things slow down tremendously with the sites that have 5 min recharges (even though it is for different users or links...?) - this is becoming a hassle to wait for the "all clear" - as such, I usually end up filtering all the minicity things out, and skipping the outcry, weedwar, etc. links.

I hate doing that, but I'm sorry, I do not wish to give 5 minutes of my life for someone else's click. Now, if I have something else not on the computer going on, I'll let them as many load as I am away from the computer.

PostForum: Support - Ask here   Posted: Fri May 09, 2008 6:16 pm   Subject: FYI: AVG 8.0 reports Thread with www.weedwar.nl links!
When I click a user's www.weedwar.nl link in Firefox, with AVG 8.0 (latest definition), I get a pop-up from AVG identifying a threat:

"Threat name: Virus identified JS/Psyme.OV"

Unfortunately, there is no information about this on AVG's site in their "Virus Encyclopedia" - going to www.weedwar.nl does not trigger this, but the www.weedwar.nl/click.php?x=username link does. I'm betting this is a false positive, as there is no sign of problems when I searched the web for any info.

My kids recently had an issue with AVG 8.0 and a false positive with their ToonTown Online launcher, as well. Not sure what Grisoft is up to, but two false positives in a month are 2 more than what I used to get! I am using the 3-license pack, not the free version of AVG 8.

Hope this helps anyone.

How do you know how many we've clicked? I have one number in the top-line (something like "links clicked in 24h? (###)" and then I have the one in my column in the Dynasty/List. Oddly, they are different.

Is the history counter set on a different reset-timer than the Dynasty list one? Or am I missing something?

It was down yesterday, as well (was going to be my first attempt to transfer credits to someone so I can click them back, in my history).

Unfortunately, between this and the removal of links, it is getting difficult to stay in the positive.

nvm ive found out why..
just to say, HI guys :D

Go into your PROFILE, click the "LINKS" tab at the top, and make sure you have "YES" selected from the drop-down menu for "Use Handle" - this, in it's poorly-worded form, means to use a minicity smart-link.

The other choice is "No" which will give whatever.

bella,

Thanks for clarifying all this; I think I have it figured out - however, the average clicks per day went down because mine.nu was down for me for several days (it just loaded a blank white page). So, for me, this site is hit-or-miss, but when it's up, I am here clicking.

I have noticed that a lot of our "allies" have a large number of HIDDEN LINKS. While most of our links are not hidden. This does not seem too cool. Granted, the History should resolve this (provided they are not deleting them once they're done clicking).

Well, I am not sure. I have clicked everything I can for the past several hours (don't ask - I'm bored). And while occasionally something shows up in the history list (which I click immediately), I still end up with 0 or -0.xx credits.

So unless there are people able to click more often than once a day, yet only have a daily link refresh, I do not see how my net gain is less than my net clicks.

Theoretically, shouldn't my credits never change? I mean, if I start with 50, and I click *everything* in the List Exchange, the Dynasty (and allies), AND the History, I would be going up by whatever in the dynasty section, link exchange, etc. And any credit loss would be recovered by clicking everything in the history section, no?

So why would I go from 50 (or whatever it was I started with) to less than 0?

There are NO LINKS showing in my dynasty, allies, history, or link exchange section. When they do show up after a refresh, I click them. I even wait and let the site hit those that need a wait.

I'm just confused, I suppose.

Sorry for the double-post, but while we're on this, what does this mean:
"You already visited this trap." on a blank white page when clicking a link.

Also, what are the numbers in the link section <-1> or <-0.518388> etc. mean?

PostForum: Support - Ask here   Posted: Thu May 01, 2008 9:18 pm   Subject: Dynasties - keeping up with Credits
OK, I have only 1 link, and I still CANNOT keep up with the links / debit system here.

I started out with 30 or 40 credits, and I clicked EVERYTHING in all sections (dynasty exchange, history, etc).

I still end up with 0 (or less) credits. How in the world can one keep one's head above water here? I have nothing to click, waited...waited, refreshed, etc. and got a couple more credits, but within a minute they are gone!

Is this because people will have HIDDEN links that all they do is click/gain, but never link/give-up credits? Seems like this "economy" has a serious balance issue.

Perhaps if a link is hidden, one cannot TAKE credits by clicking for a set period of time (i.e. 24 hrs, 8 hrs. whatever).

My theory is, people can come in, click all over - hide their links, and take the credits of any and all new members.

Where am I going wrong with this?
