Yesterday (6:50pm EST) I got a HAT, typed my usual into the box, and sent it. I got a site error that told me an email had been sent and that I should refresh the page. I refreshed the page and got the "I have nothing for you" message. Do HAT scores get corrected or do I just have to live with the one HAT missed?

How many Emperors are really so hyped up on competitive averages that they are going to freak out and kick someone whose average drops a few points or who hits negatives on a holiday?

Am I happy seeing my average rise each day? Yep.

Am I bummed when I log in and see that I misjudged how many credits I needed to stay positive? Yep.

Should I really be *that* worried if I get out of whack here because real life comes first? Heck no!

Everyone relax and enjoy themselves.

On a more serious note regarding a voluntary vacation mode, you would need to set a limit on the number of days in a given period that someone could opt for vacation. While a vacation mode would be a nice option for some, permanent or sporadic vacations could be a problem for dynasties.

I played an interesting real time strategy game that allowed for vacation modes. When it was first implemented we had issues in a lot of kingdoms with people occupying a space in a given kingdom but providing nothing as people would go into permanent vacation mode. That lead to Monarch's being able to cancel vacation modes after ten days of vacation time. That might not be a problem here as an emperor should have notification from a member that they are entering vacation mode and how long they intend to stay that way.

Interesting to see a number assigned as the official word on it seems to carefully not assign a specific number or exact qualification. It doesn't matter either way. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going crazy. A search failed to show up the answer, but now I have it :)

A bit about me:

Name: Mitza

Age: 32 *gasp* I had to do the math to realize I was that old.

Sign: Gemini born in the year of the Dragon.

Occupation: Writer, Dressage/CT/3-day trainer/rider...now retired by injury. The problem with loving a sport that involves riding 1600 pounds of flighty animal at full speed over obstacles that don't fall down is that sometimes you do.

Hobbies: World of Warcraft, Reading (if it holds still long enough, I'll read it), Music (used to play guitar and flute; have become a listener rather than a maker), Fencing (not the kind that involves posts and wire), Watercolor, Calligraphy, Archery, and Target shooting.

Click Games: Dragon Cave, Ponystars (experimenting with economy on that one), and Dragonadopters. I am considering goofing with MiniCity, but that would make four and that is a lot of link rotation.

Fun Facts: I am an extreme insomniac. I haven't slept more than an average of two hours per night except under sedation since I was ten.

Favorites:

Color-Red (Black is a close second and habitual from years playing in the mud)
Animal-Vulture (get to know one...they are incredible creatures)
Food-Artichokes (steamed whole with lemon butter for dipping if you please)
Season-Autumn
Movies-Blade Runner, Boondock Saints, Harold & Maude, Rebecca, Resevoir Dogs
Authors- Philip K. Dick, Robert Heinlein, Marion Zimmer Bradley, William Gibson, James Michener
Music-When I say I like all music, I am very nearly telling the truth. I am not horribly fond of the current generation of rappers, but I love old Tupac. I am likewise not too crazy with the current generation of country artists, but I love Hank Williams (Sr. & Jr., III was unimpressive). My current playlist has Beborn Beton, NIN, Ministry, Dolly Parton, Vivaldi, Kitaro, Tangerine Dream, Johnny Cash, Switchblade Symphony, Notorious B.I.G., Queensryche, Jan & Dean, Rush, Tori Amos, Rednex, Nina Simone, Patsy Cline, Bob Seger, Alan Parsons Project, Chip Davis, Drain STH, evanescence, The Doors, Depeche Mode, Reba McIntyre, Rammstein, Mike Oldfield, Vangelis, Soft Cell, The Pet Shop Boys, Bob Marley, Trace Adkins, and about 400 singles.

if you don't want out of your credits their are 2 options 1 buy a vip account or 2 don't set links with happy hour.
It's your own choice

VIP cannot be purchased. Making a contribution monetary or otherwise that benefits the site *may* get you VIP status if it is deemed worthy.

VIP, etc. Status

As far as dynasties and hidden links go, it is up to your Emperor to decide whether or not hidden links benefit or harm your dynasty. GoldGryphon has been kind enough to not ride me about limits/hiddens while I handle my real life health. Am I detriment to the dynasty while I manage links here carefully because I cannot be here 24/7 at them moment? Thankfully, my emperor doesn't think so.

The general timers show how long is on each type of timer. If you only have PP tabs waiting, it will only populate waiting for PP in a nice little box.
Other than the 6+hr waits the others just get to sit open in my browser until they finish.

Thanks...guess I will have to start deleting links and re-adding them every other day or so. Kinda a pain, but no other way to manage it. I went to do follow ups at the hospital with 200ish credits and only 80 or so clicks remaining on one link, 0 on another and returned to a negative number. I *HATE* being negative!
I suppose I could add a batch of Euros to my paypal profile...that would work too...hmm...

Just to clarify, putting a limit on a link will not prevent it from being click through history, will it?

Not gonna lie...the 6-24 hour timer links are annoying. Not only will they not hide, but when you have more than a handful of people using them as their only visible link, you can't click more than one and expose the additional histories.

Bob, Frank, Marie, and Sue have hotels. I click one, I get Bob's one link worth of credit. He clicks my visible link and my history link. I can't click the other three, but they can click mine and get two clicks each while I cannot return the favor.

Those games are not based on accumulating clicks outside of the community of the game itself.
