PostForum: Dynasty Discussion   Posted: Mon Oct 05, 2009 7:30 pm   Subject: Additional ranks (for the future)
I agree with Stan about the idea that SHOGUN should be considered a very high ranked member, almost like a left hand for the EMPEROR. The problem is that the limited ranks available in the original game format have produced lots of SHOGUNS in all dynasties.

Please consider the opposite viewpoint: add lower ranks and leave the SHOGUN status for those truly important members of the dynasty. I suggest the following ranks below the SAMURAI but above PEASANTS.

GASHIRA - Literally, "head." The GASHIRA were battlefield leaders of small units of troops; there would be a GASHIRA at the head of each spear or bow company, for example. The most direct comparison would be to a modern army sergeant.

ASHIGARU - Literally, "light foot". They were the rank and file of samurai armies; issued standard arms and under the command of a superior most of the time. As the backbone of feudal clan armies, they were always the most numerous, without ASHIGARU, there is no army.

CHUGEN - Literally, the "in-between." The initial rank of new members in the army. They are junior members of the military units whose responsibilities are little to none other than the important task of paying attention to experienced members and learning the ropes. After they have procured their own garb, built their own supply of weapons, and attended several realm battles, CHUGEN are no longer trainees and are promoted to ASHIGARU.

At RMV we like the new samurai rank quite a lot. It provides us with the opportunity to re-sort our members according to the Minimum Average that is now the most important stat.

Besides I always thought that the daimyo rank was underestimated because of its closeness to peasant. In fact daimyo was a very important title in feudal Japan (check here).

In short: well done !!!

According to the rules, emperor short note can be up to 140 px of height. However the 'check size' is telling me that mine is 120 px and is therefore too big. Please verify.

Despite the fact that I can produce a valid click in Yer Hotel every hour, I have to wait 6 to once again visit a link of this kind.

Any possibility to reduce the wait time between visits?

This is a complex problem and no solution I have read so far is perfect. However Admins are more than able to quickly detect feeder dynasties while a more definite solution is found.

But more important than the credits is the feeling that united we were able to achieve a goal that seemed beyond our grasp. And for "we" I mean everyone at Yarold's.

In the past hour I've lost about 250 credits. I only have 1 active link (on dynasty) and I know no one is clicking it because history clearly states no one has clicked my links.

Help !!!

From time to time I like to include links to the cities of my supporters to help them gain some clicks. Is this legal? I'm fairly sure they don't belong to Yarold's Link Exchange.

Thanks...

MainCore, If you don't mind - don't use Linux, if you are not a programmer :)

I have two pc. XP one for everything. And Linux for programming / coding.

Well, surprise, I've been programming since before Linux came to life, on several Unix flavors. But where did you get that ridiculous idea you have to be a programmer to use Linux? Come on, I can't believe there are people supporting that ancient idea. Maybe it was true many years ago when the only way to do thing in Linux was using a prompt, but guess what: OS does evolve and today anyone can use Linux without having a clue about programming. Please, update yourself.

PD: the first idea almost anyone had about solving the counter problem was resetting the browser cache and related stuff.

BTW: delay counters not showing.

Could someone up there fix my status, please?. For some reason I don't fully understand I created an HTML code that didn't fit the capacity of Yarold's site and lost my VIP status. Now I bought some credits to regain VIP and now on my profile it says "VIP nonVIP".

Thank you very much for your help in this matter. Believe me that it was never my intention to make an incompatible HTML tag set.

Yours truly,

MC

Could some ne please tell me what we are supposed to do when the following games come up:

Outwar

La Brute

I don't speak the language and did not want to click on those links without knowing. Thank you, in advance

With Outwar (and Dragon Cave) you have to wait until you see the phrase "Your click has been counted." in the lower screen.

With La Brute, choose 1 of 3 items to feed the animal (you can see 3 images), whatever is ok. If they are fed already (you see only 1 image), nothing to do then.

You are describing how Valenth works. Please verify.
