Well then obviously there was something else that made Yarold think I was using an autoclicker, other than reload-every and snaplinks.

Reload-every as you would be aware by the number of help guides in every dynasties sub forum, is safe to use

Using reload every and snap links together may make you appear to be using an autoclicker.

Thank you for the explanation, DemonicJ!

How does Yarold distinguish between an "autoclicker" and someone using the Firefox reload-every add-on with snap-links? Is Reload-Every considered an auto-clicker since it refreshes automatically at a frequent interval?

That thread says a 2 month ban, so if I'm accused of that offense, either they let me off easy or only were half accusing me of doing that.

Of course, since nobody has told me why, or who, I can only guess and wonder if there's not some mistake.

That link is a locked thread. And it says to post 'here' presuming it means this section.

Thanks for the 1-month Christmas vacation. :)

So that I can properly phrase my thank-you note, a more specific reason would be appreciated.

If it was just me, I'd ******* it up.

And clearly, the owners of those links can do whatever the heck they want with their links.

But the fact of the matter still stands: Zooreka links during HH only get about 1 click per 6 credits or so.

I fail to see why you are so opposed to me giving helpful advice to people who happen to be wasting credits.

turdkey wrote:
surprisingly enough outside of the top teams there really are plenty of people who actually do want their links clicked no matter what time of day either.

YAY! Good for them!!!!

People who do want their zooreka links clicked probably don't turn them on in the middle of happy hour. Since the owner of the zooreka link that appears around 2000 only posts it (and several other links) during "happy hour" I would presume that they are not in that category. I could be wrong, of course, which is why I helpfully suggested they post it at another time when they'll get more clicks for the same credits.

The days when people put up links they actually wanted clicks at are long gone.

Police? No!

I'm merely suggesting that if someone actually WANTS clicks to their link (this is a link exchange, isn't it?) that posting it during the 21 hours a day that it's NOT happy hour would be more beneficial to them than posting it at a time when they only get 5 clicks for 30 credits (and, coincidentally, annoy 25 users).

turdkey wrote:
Get a life and leave others to play the games they choose and unless that link has a virus etc leave people to make their own choices.

I'm not suggesting the zooreka link owner not play that game. Or even not post that link for whatever clicks they want on it.

I'm suggesting they conserve credits by posting it at a time when they'll actually get the click-throughs they (theoretically) want.

Sorry for being helpful.

I haven't bothered to track down who it is that always posts their zooreka link at the beginning of the 2000 "happy hour."

Thanks for the extra link. However...

Zooreka links don't count if you get more than 1 from people in one second. So it's not really a good idea to post that at the beginning of happy hours when you know 30 (or so) people are refreshing every 5 seconds, and about 25 of those same people will end up with a pop up warning about the timing, along with a frame that steals browser focus away from the dynasty page.

So, if you actually want clicks to that zooreka link, please put it up at a time other than when 30 people are rapid-refreshing. You'll get a lot more actual clicks for your credits.

If you don't actually care about clicks to the zooreka link, then please substitute some other useless link instead.

If you do neither of the above, then I'll have to assume you're intentionally messing with people's browsers. And maybe I'll get my own zooreka link and encourage others to do the same until we make this such a sitewide problem that someone finally does something about it.

This comes from the first player to hit 500 average, by dynasty hopping. (Causing Stan to insert the rule resetting your clicks to 0 when you change dynasties.)

Yes, you're a shining example of being honest and fair.

Top Cat wrote:

This is almost entirely a result of the current implementation of "happy hours". When the Mob started them, we showed 1 or 2 links for the whole hour. But then your former dynasty was the one who perfected the art of showing 9 extra useless links for 5 seconds.

I don't disagree with you at all. You're 100% correct. It's just really odd to hear you being the one complaining about it.

No, this is clearly pointed at Jay. What else is new?

Jeanne wrote:
Is it jealousy on our part or site rules being broken or exploited.

I think it's a perception of unequal treatment of people who break or exploit site rules.

I don't think there's much argument that multies (rule breakers) being banned is a bad thing. I think some dynasties feel targeted when people in their dynasties end up the ones being banned.

Jeanne wrote:
I dislike the vendetta that has been going on here for months now, and I don't think it would end even if Stan "demoted" Jay, it's personal attacks on a guy and anyone close to him - If anyone see a problem with a dynasty run by an admin - don't ally with it and it will go away - simple really.

Yes, Jeanne. You and I have a unique perspective of having tried to run the Mob in spite of a lot of people hating Jay. It really limits the ability to get and keep a lot of allies who refuse to deal with him. The mob would be much more successful, probably, if Jay weren't an admin than if it is.

Stan was nice enough to list Jay's duties for us.... seems the only one where he really can abuse his "power" to affect the dynasty competition is in banning multies.

So clearly this thread is all about him "abusing his power" by banning rule-breakers. It is no surprise that some of the loudest voices of dissent are from dynasties that have had a lot of multi-accounts get banned in the past.

I'd be interested in hearing anyone cite any one specific example of Jay inappropriately banning an account. Just one, please.

Like it or not, most dynasties grow by recruiting active clickers who are not in a dynasty.

You could always just create your own dynasty named "Leave Me Alone" and sit in there by yourself.

I'll give you the 199.99 credits to do so if you want. :)

Both of these are good suggestions.

With ability to minimize dynasty page and remove short notes it is difficult sometimes to tell something to whole dynasty.

Currently mail is the only private way of sharing information you do not want other dynasties to know, or which does not concern them, and mail is limited to only 15 items in outbox at once.

The reason Pili and many others joined was not to become #1. They joined to help with the 10M race.

Making #1 is just an accident.

But to say we don't like being #1 would not be honest. It will be fun to be #1 for a short while.

Who will be #1 after us, will it be J4F or UBC or someone else?

Yes, as anyone tracking the numbers could tell you. We would have to outclick them by a ratio of over 1.5 to 1, and they are clicking well above 20K. Practically impossible to click the 34-38K numbers required to pull ahead.
jassej wrote:
Why then are still members of another dynasty with you?

Members of another dynasty? What does that mean?

They are currently members of my dynasty. Many of them were previous members of MMC Mob.

Come to think of it, many of the original members of MMC UBC came from MMC Mob. So is your success really MMC Mob's success?

And hey, TOP CAT was originally in MMC Mob too, before he started RMV. So maybe we can claim that RMV is really just MMC Mob!

jassej wrote:
My opinion, you are not honest.

The word 'honest' may not be the best word to convey what you are trying to say. I understand it as being "truthful". And I don't think anybody is trying to hide what is happening here, or making lies. It is well known exactly what is happening. Many people have left other dynasties in past few weeks to join RMV and some people have left other dynasties in past few weeks to join MMC Mob.

Some of the people joining MMC Mob were previously members of MMC Mob. For example, albacyty was previously an MMC Mob member. If you remember back on January 1, I left another dynasty to return to MMC Mob for a time to help them get better. Does that mean that I don't count either?

When you started MMC UBC you recruited members from several other existing dynasties, including MMC Mob.

One of your members, 26Locutus26 (unless he has changed it again) was originally in my dynasty (WDNC) before he left me to go help you start MMC UBC. Even a few days ago he was in "Happy Hour" dynasty. But now he is clicking for MMC UBC. So is he a member of your dynasty or not? Do his clicks not count for you? Is he part of the "True MMC UBC" or is he just visiting from another dynasty to help you? :)

jassej wrote:
Mob does not want 10 mil, Mob wants first places.

Oh, we're going to be in first? Hehehe, that's pretty funny!

No, if you were in our chat (#mmc) you would know that being first is just a fun accident. That is not why Pili has joined us. Although it's funny that it is creating such a stir!

Over in this thread I made a prediction:

MUSHpark wrote:
Dynasties who reach the top eventually tire of the daily chore of spending an hour online. Members burn themselves out, and decline in performance. Eventually they either quit or are pushed out of their dynasties. But I hereby boldly predict that the dynasty currently at the top of the leaderboard won't be there 6 months from now.

This was met by a challenge by one of your members:
activist wrote:
Message to Yarold. MushPark has laid down a challenge. Make a Big Prize for the Dynasty that can catch MMC UBC within the next six months. Nobody catches us then we win.

It seems this prediction has already come true, and your challenge lost, but it was not MMC Mob (and our extended family) who unseated you, it was Just 4 Fun, who did it without any help. Congrats to them!

But back to this subject... yeah, it seems we may sit atop the leaderboard for a few days, thanks to our former members and their friends.

I think it's pretty funny. :)

Is it legit? Many members of all our dynasties have come to us from other dynasties. MMC UBC in particular grew to be a very strong dynasty by recruiting some of the best clickers from existing dynasties. MMC Mob didn't ask anyone to come over... they are coming over of their own choice.

You can decide for yourself what you think is legit or not.

jassej wrote:
MMC UBC is better than true MMC Mob!

Better? That depends on which measure you use. :)

What exactly is the "True MMC Mob?" Do I count, even though I left to join another dynasty and returned to help them click 5 months ago? Does Pili count, even though she left to join another dynasty, then started her own, and has returned to click again?

Do we get to count the clicks of former MMC Mob members who left us to join RMV, or UBC, or Respect, or Moblets, or WDNC, or many other dynasties who started out with several MMC Mob members?

Question for you... how many current members of RMV were members 2 weeks ago? Many of the original members of RMV, who contributed over 9 million of the target 10 million clicks, are in self-assigned exile over in TOP CAT's dynasty. Are they part of the "True RMV" or is the group of clickers currently striving for 10 million the "True" dynasty?

What really is the "True UBC"? If you took away everyone in UBC who was ever a member of another dynasty before UBC (including yourself) would you be doing as well?

Are you a sports fan? In the US we like to watch baseball and our brand of football. I know that your brand of football is probably a more superior game. But in all these sports the professional teams have some players who stay with a team for a very long time, and other players who get traded to other teams and compete in a different uniform. I still think we all cheer on our sports teams as the "true" teams no matter who is wearing the uniform.

During the 2008 Olympics, Yao Ming played on China's basketball team, even though most of the time he lives in the USA and plays for the Houston Rockets. Was he part of a "True China Team"? I think so!!!

In my opinion, everyone who is currently a member of your dynasty is part of the "True MMC UBC." Everyone who is currently a member of barymore's dynasty is part of the "True RMV." And everyone who is currently a member of MMC Mob is part of the True MMC Mob.

#1 at reset today? Probably.

Legal? Entirely.

Better? Depends on what statistic you use.

Fun? Definitely. :)

For the past several days, my links (and many others) that are supposed to reset at 0000 have not been doing so. They still show as being "clicked" at 0005 even when I have not displayed them.

There used to be very many links across the site which would show at 0002 (or so). But now there are hardly any.

I think something is wrong with the "daily at 00" reset links. I don't know if the problem also occurs for daily reset at other times, as many links are available after the 07 reset.

I like to "play yarold" which gives me many more clicks than I need or want for whichever games I am playing.

But at the same time, I get to learn about new games and maybe try them out, and when I do I get plenty of easy clicks which makes playing the new game easier.

Yes it is unfortunate how few links are on main link exchange any more, compared to how it used to be.

Wolverines wrote:

As a member of even the top dynasties, you only get about 300 to 350 clicks per day to your link. For example, go to history page, customize, and don't remove rows without links (but do check to remove duplicates). This is how many people have clicked any of your links. For me it tells me "Total 344 rows here" and that is with several extra links on daily reset. The number is lower if you use 24h reset.

So you only need to click about 300-350 links per day to stay credit-neutral in a top dynasty. (Which is why many dynasties have a minimum click rule about that level. That is what is required to stay positive.) And it is trivially easy to get almost that many clicks just by using "open all".

If you choose a dynasty which is not near the top, they usually have fewer allies, a lot more negative or non-clickers, and the ratio can be much closer to the 100 links that are desired.

So the fact is, if you only want to get 100 clicks and give 100 clicks, you should not be joining one of the top clicking dynasties.

Maybe BAD PATS LADY can start her own dynasty and only ally to make a total dynasty alliance size of about 100. Then she can click 100 times, get clicked 100 times, and all will work out. But if she joins a dynasty with 400 allies, she can expect to be clicked that many times (and to click that many links).

I will have to admit that the MMC Mob vs. RMV competition last year (when TOP CAT was running RMV) resulted in a lot of creativity on both sides. Unfortunately I think it resulted in a lot of anger on both sides.

I am glad to see RMV back, though. I wish they had waited a week to restore so the competition wouldn't have been as close. ;)

Anyway.... I am stepping back from trying to lead or manage whatever is going on now. Whatever happens to the Mob in next 2 weeks I cannot take credit for.
