City of MT - Wed Apr 18, 2012 10:04 am Post subject: Annoying anti-spam message I understand the reasoning behind the anti-spam message "You cannot make another post so soon after your last; please try again in a short while." but 3 minutes for regular users and 1 minute for mods is really irritating when there are multiple posts I want to reply to and I am not trying to spam. I have noticed that these spammers tended to be new accounts before this was implemented. It is possible to implement a system where after a user posts, let's say, 100 non-spam posts, that the timeout can be reduced or even eliminated. If it is abused, that specific user has to post 200 non-spam posts to be eligible to be timeout free. This is very similar to the VIP status in the site.
