Support - Ask here - New links don't count
Namilee - Wed Dec 30, 2009 1:57 am Post subject: New links don't count Hello it's me again.
There must be something wrong with some new links.
The thing is this:I click a link I've NEVER clicked before, which I even never seen before and get the following message:
"You already clicked this link.Your click is not counted."
How can this be when I NEVER saw these kinds of links before?
Unfortunately I have not written down any site names. But this happens with several new links in the last 2 weeks.
When I've written down the names of some sites I will edit my post here.
Atm it is just annoying that "fresh" links tell me I've already clicked them.
And I am not that kind of user who closes 50somewhat links with a special extension - I have a look at the links I click.I even check if minicities did load correctly. This might sound a bit special but there are many members who use this FF-extension to gain time or whatever.
I just want to make sure that this problem gets reported.
Have a nice day everyone.

Well, since the thread that I started was, IMO, prematurely locked I guess I'll post some information regarding the problem I've seen in this similar, but seemingly unrelated problem here.
After paying much closer attention to the links causing problems reported in that other thread, it was determined that the problem links are always "Baiat De Cartier" & "poveste" links.
Further research shows this exact same problem was earlier reported on Aug 31, 2009 here...
http://yarold.eu/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6191
Again, this problem is not related to newly approved link types as has been determined by problems reported in this thread, but rather seems to be a problem related to the 'cooling off' period when multiple links of these two specific types are opened in short order (such as when using the "Open All" link or Snaplinks).
To further clarify that these are two different problems...
One gives the, "You already visited this link." message in the regular opened link area,
the other gives the message, "You already clicked this link.Your click is not counted.", down in the bottom,"Your click has been counted." frame.
Hope this helps,
DemonicJ - Sun Feb 21, 2010 2:54 am
baiat de cartier & poveste links now have a 60 second timer between them. To clarify thats 1 minute rather than the previous 30 seconds. Feel free to respond if the problem continues.
PaiGow - Sun Feb 21, 2010 10:16 am
It took a while but I finally got 3 baiat de cartier links to click.
Okay this seems NOT to be a timer issue as the original poster of this particular problem suspected since bumping the timers to 60 seconds we continue to get the "You already visited this link." errors on the 2nd & 3rd links.
1st link - redirected as expected to...
--->http://www.baiatdecartier.ro/click-dana
2nd link shows "You already visited this link."
http://swle.yarold.eu/click.php?k1=619615978&k2=43171638
pressing "you can visit it again here" takes me here --->http://www.baiatdecartier.ro/click-DolceCaBlana
3rd link shows "You already visited this link."
http://swle.yarold.eu/click.php?k1=619616234&k2=43172337
pressing "you can visit it again here" takes me here--->http://www.baiatdecartier.ro/click-dexter
This also raises the issues of...
1) is credit being exchanged.
2) is the 5% lotto/referral tax being collected.
3) are clicks being counted for links not actually visited?
Hope this helps,
filmore - Sun Feb 21, 2010 12:19 pm
Thanks for looking into this problem!
I just noticed too that setting the timer from 30 seconds to one minute did not solve the problem.
The same problem as with the cartier links did occur when you clicked the huehorse-links, but as far as I can see only one user seems to have one link, so I cannot test if these links are still giving trouble.
Edit: Was thinking.. the poveste and baiat de cartier links are only properly clickable when the timer sais "ready" in the rectangular box on top of the links.. maybe stop putting a timer on these games altogether?
PaiGow - Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:00 pm
Another clue something is wrong with the 'Baiat De Cartier' links...
I clicked 8 of them in the past 20 minutes, but there are only 4 entries in my 'You Clicked' history over the same timeframe. Also, while closely watching 'History' I think I'm even seeing some of the newest 'Baiat De Cartier' entries actually disappear before my eyes.
Also, I was sitting on one of the 'waiting' pages when the timer lapsed and noticed that the actual 'Baiat De Cartier' page did flash up for a fraction of a second (not allowing enough time for me to click the action button) before proceeding directly to the 'You already visited this link.' page. Then I could click on the 'you can visit it again here' link to actually give the user's link the deserved action click.
IMO, this is too much work for links that may or may not even be counted
[edit]
while typing this post the number of visits to 'Baiat De Cartier' in that history timeframe has further dropped to 3 of the 8 actual links I've visited!
[/edit]
filmore - Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:57 pm
The timer on the game makes the error as I said earlier.. , last week the timer was 30 seconds, after we got the "READY" the link was clickable again, now we have to wait for the timer to get to 60 seconds before we get the "READY"
Stop having a timer on the game and let's see what we get then?

Okay, this is my last post on this issue... My original thread about it was wrongly locked with instructions to post follow ups in this unrelated thread. It seems no one with the power wants to further investigate or fix this particular problem.
-------
I just opened 6 of the 'baiat de cartier' links using snaplinks. Though I get credit and clicks counted for all 6, only 1 of them directed me to the user's game page so I could click the action button. The other 5 showed me the 'You already visited this link.' page not even allowing me the opportunity to click the users action button.
There is a problem with this link type!!
Maybe the Y's server is giving the link a 'double tap' when the timer expires causing the link to be visited twice in quick succession, thus causing the immediate redirection to the 'You already visited this link.' rather than staying on the game page. Maybe it's something else.
With the action link follow through rate already so low, it seems even more unfair not even giving us the opportunity to follow through on these links. The players of the 'baiat de cartier' are paying us credit and we don't even see their game page. IMO, this is wrong!
'nuff said,
Yarold - Wed Mar 10, 2010 4:56 pm
i'm 100% that you don't get a credit when you see 'You already visited this link'. Your history doesn't confirm it .
Still i'm unable to get that error when clicking in normal way, i checked the code many times and for me its look impossible.
filmore - Wed Mar 10, 2010 6:33 pm
Thanks Stan, for looking into this matter, as I remember
(see http://yarold.eu/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6191) at first you didn't get what I meant.
Problem IS the timer. When it was 30 seconds the link was ready to fully open again when the 30 seconds were over and the box on top said READY.
Now we have to wait the full 60 seconds before we get a proper link again. The box on top MUST say READY!
Please examine if the link suffers from quitting having a timer on the Baiat and Poveste de Cartier links.
The framed links that say "You already visited this link, this click has not been counted." at the bottom of the screen, are a totally different problem though.. this matter needs looking into too!

And I am 100% sure that the clicks counted!!!
FYI, I wasn't looking at history when I confirmed that the clicks counted... I was looking at 'Total clicks done today:' on my profile page. These 6 'Baiat De Cartier' links are the only links I clicked and my count raised by 6 after all the timers had expired. Only one link showed me the game page, while the other five showed me the 'You already visited this link.' page.
As I stated in an earlier post on this issue... While patiently watching the 'waiting' page as the timer expires, the actual 'Baiat De Cartier' page does in fact flash up for a split second causing the click to count (definitely not enough time to click on the action button), before proceeding directly to the 'You already visited this link.' page. This is what makes me think that the code is invoking two clicks for these type links when the timer expires rather than just one that would us to follow through with the required action.
Thanks for your attention,

The same thing Paigow reported happens to me a lot the last two weeks.
It only appears when I have more than only one link like Baiat,Poveste,Noob Wars and some others I can't remember right now.
When the timer is ready to show the page it just flashes up for milliseconds and I'm not able to act in any way ("Mai departe","Click aici",etc.)
I get a white page with the following text on the top of the site:for instance "Click on mai departe" and after ten seconds the same site with the text "Your click has been counted."
Strange thing due to the fact it worked without problems before.
Criminal War links also behave like described in my cyan colored post.
Only a white page which says:"Your click has been counted".No chance to push the "doorgaan" button..-
Timer or not:I get this message at every criminal War link.
