Old forum posts in dynasty forums are not deleted, they're in trash incase anyone thinks a topic is worth saving. I think the emp that took over from me got tired of being dropped by allies. It is difficult for a "laid back" non-caring dynasty to maintain good alliances. I guess he CARE'd too much.

Yes, it was a fun dynasty. I suffered from the same frustration that I think byc171 did, trying to balance "not caring" with trying to also be competitive. In order to keep good allies in a competitive environment, you have to have people willing to show extra links and do other things to improve the dynasty. Unfortunately many of the members joined WDNC because they wanted to get away from the tooth-and-nail competition for the top spot, so it wasn't right to push them to do more than "just click". I even had trouble getting people to want to step up and lead to be emp or kampaku. Most people there just wanted to click a little bit and be done, not compete or deal with ally hassles. I was disappointed at the way it went away (all at once, causing all sorts of ripples in the dynasty alliances as people scrambled to fill holes) but to truly live up to its name, it was in fact destined to slowly fade away. Fortunately for me and my "competitive" side, many of the members chose to go to WDNC's "parent" dynasty, MMC Mob, and are helping us be competitive there, which is a lot of fun. And many members went back to their original dynasties, so I think everyone has a home now. All in good fun... it is just a game, right?
