Support - Ask here - short note
Tsai - Wed Nov 12, 2008 5:21 pm Post subject: short note Since I do not know which admin or mod deleted my short note, I hope it's allowed to ask for help here.
I have read about the new rules for short notes and I don't think I was breaking any of them...
Yarold wrote: | 2. Maximum allowed size in height of notes is not defined (yet)
3. Do not use set widths over 450px, use percentages if you have to
4. Do not post videos in your short notes
5. Do not post excessively large images
6. Do not use blinking text or images
7. Do not include embed flash or sounds/music
8. Do not post links (exception of: this forum; any other forum; any other page that content you'd put in your notes anyway)
9. Your encouraged to post your thoughts on forums and link to them in your notes
11. If you decide to use html code in your note. It must be valid html, which you can check using 'html check' button
13. Please note that regular forum/site rules apply, clean images, clean language. |
2. Since the maximum size is not defined yet, I suppose my note can't be removed for that reason...
3. I am not using any tables in my short notes, so no width problem
4. I didn't post any videos
5. I didn't post large images
6. I didn't use any blinking
7. I didn't use flash or music/sound
8. I didn't post any links to anywhere in my notes
9. I would if my dynasty had it's own forum, which we still don't have
11. As far as I know, my html was valid
13. I think there was no wrong language used
So could the admin / mod who deleted my short note, please tell me what I need to change so it won't get removed again?
As emperor of a dynasty I sometimes have a lot of text in my short note informing my members about a contest we are running, but I see other short notes with a lot of text too which are not deleted. So I guess it's not the amount of text, but the way I presented it? Correct me if I am wrong! And please add some tips on how I could savely show the information in my short note without risking of deletion or worse...
I don't want to break any rules, but the rules have to be clear in order not to break them...
Thanks in advance!

It's the combination of pictures, lots of text, font size that made you notes too big.
As an Emperor for contest, you don't need screaming large font size, with pictures.
So find a balance between them, when you need more text, don't use pictures and/or large font size.
There's a topic already about these rules, that you quoted. so this topic is locked.
