Post subject: Some updates.
A few small updates have been made to the site.

On main page and in history you'll find a link now to Open all*, clicking this link will open all links that do not require an extra action or aren't set yet, All at once.
Links that are set to require an action will not be opened, by clicking Open all*

History is now divided in 2 different tabs. 1 for clicks done and 1 for clicks received.

New rank 関白 has been added to dynasties that has same powers as the Emp, but can't change own rank or Emp's rank.
Only the Emp can set the 関白rank.

And finally a change a lot were waiting for. Leaving dynasty and changing dynasty ranks will now need an extra conformation.

yes, i found the confirmation a moment ago. very glad it has been added.
Godafoss - Thu Sep 04, 2008 3:39 pm

Great update, the ''Open all*'' button.

Edit: Maybe it's an idea to also get this working on the ''Dynasty Exchange'' page?

Ferrari - Thu Sep 04, 2008 4:51 pm

New rank 関白 has been added to dynasties.

Actually I don't want to complain because it’s a great update, but
the new rank is not a name but a symbol.
Every new dynasty member will ask what is that symbol by number 2 in the dynasty.
for the sake of uniformity, could it be possible to have the rank named kampaku instead of using the Japanese symbols for it?

Thanks for the updates. Some of them were really needed. Good job. :razz:
MUSHpark - Thu Sep 04, 2008 7:53 pm

Great updates! Thanks for all of them!

I agree with Ferrari that the new rank should be translated.

There should be an ability for the 関白 to take over the emp spot if the emp goes inactive, as well, or perhaps the 関白 is automatically promoted to emp if the previous emp quits or is removed for inactivity...

New rank limited to only 1 person??
scarlete - Thu Sep 04, 2008 10:35 pm

Glad I saw this, I was wondering what "??" was.

I also like that it's not "emp" anymore, and says "Emperor" ;D

Loving new update. But, i am with ??? for a new rank like - ( ? ? ) I saw it after emperor's rank. Dont know what is it :)

And glad to see a new update called - "Open all" I love it. All other new update is great to me.

Saendelft - Fri Sep 05, 2008 9:03 am

Great changes, especially the confirmation! One day it will save me from getting a heart attack after having clicked while half asleep
PreciouS HearT - Fri Sep 05, 2008 9:11 am

Hmmm, i am thinking for another option. Dont know, that option also changed or no. I am talking about "leave this dynasty"

It would be better, if there are an option for Emperors. If they left by mistake, then would be help full if there are confirmation option to rejoin.

One day my young sister played with my pc. And when i come back to my room, then i saw, i have left from my own Dynasty lol

But, Admin helped me when i informed him about this. I am not sure, but i wish there are a new option now.

I love the new update for the most part, thank you. And thanks for responding to the request for the new rank, very nice addition.

Had a question from one of my members, it doesn't matter to me, but maybe the admins or somebody that knows could respond:

I understand there were updates - what I do not understand is why is the new rank is in Chinese as opposed to being in Japanese. All the other ranks are based on Japanese titles, but the new one is written in Chinese as opposed to Japanese or in English.

Dannic2002 - Fri Sep 05, 2008 7:42 pm

Hi Rebercca, me again lol

I googled this and it came up as Japanese

Chief adviser to the Emperor

A Chinese Translation according to google says Commissioner White

Hope this helps

The new rank is in Japanese, the symbols you see are kanji, one of the 3 alphabets of the Japanese language (4 if you count roman letters (romaji) that they use sometimes).

That said, considering the other ranks are all spelled in romaji, and considering that not everyone has language packs installed on their computers, leading the rank to appear as ?? or squares, I think it would be better if the rank was also spelled in romaji as the others are, it would be more uniform too.

I vote for kampaku/kanpaku instead of 関白.

rikiki - Fri Sep 05, 2008 8:56 pm

関白 is a type of rank in olden times of Japan. If it is read in Chinese it has no meaning(other than Japan Emperor's Chief Advisor). It is in Chinese because "Kanji" means "Chinese words" (literally). In the past, Japanese use Kanji for a long time until they invented Japanese words.
Metalteo - Fri Sep 05, 2008 10:55 pm

関白is for Kampaku, a sort of chief adviser for the emperor.

I am not complaining. Just sharing my opinion with you.

If all Ranks were made by English language, then i think - it would be great and nice for every one.

We are from different country. And our forum rules also - "English Language Only"
So, why we having some Ranks with Japan or Chinese Language ?

When i use, IE - then i see two squires. When i use Fire fox, then its like ?? When i use Apple or flock, then its different.

Anyway, is it possible to make all Ranks by English language ? I believe, 95 % people, taking this rank like :

Emperor = Leader
Shogun = Second Rank
Daimyo = Third Rank
Peasant = Normal Rank

And i dont know, what they thinking about this new Rank :roll:
Me also thinking same like them. Some of my friends, asked me about the new Rank. I said - i dont know, may - be the second Rank before Shogun lol

Anyway, i am sorry, if anyone mind for my opinion. But, it would be great, if we get Ranks by English. I know 9 languages. But, i dont know Japan or Chinese :(

And - English is the multinational and understandable Language for every one :grin:

I wish, If there are no technical problem, then - Admin team will think about it :?:

Darrel - Sat Sep 06, 2008 11:16 am

I agree. The Japanese letters are quite interesting, but I when someone is given this rank in the Dynasty history it would be written:

??? is now 関白 [set by ???]

I think this would look quite funny, although I'm not complaining, it is good as it is now, too.
