Support - Ask here - Mediwar and its missing click #
Zepher - Sat Jul 02, 2005 4:50 pm Post subject: Mediwar and its missing click # I usually use firefox to click the links on yarolds. lately i've noticed a problem with firefox and mediwar. you know how it would show the number to click in the middle of 2 other numbers or symbols? well 90% of the time it would not show up. So i would clear my cache, click home on mediwar and then back. but most of the time the same number that you're suppose to click would be there and not work. so now i'm forced to use IE. i'm not sure if this is a mediwar or a yarolds but i thought it would be a good idea to start here. since the yarold timer thing would be at the bottom so.... any ideas of how i could fix this? i've tried reinstalling firefox and still nothing. emptying the cache doesn't work and even closing and reopening firefox doesn't either. any help well be greatly appreciated:)

I use firefox and all numbers...even the three across the top...are working for me.
Maybe you have a firewall stopping the numbers from showing? Either way...if IE works and not firefox, maybe some spyware or adaware changed something in your firefox??
The problem would indicate that it is your computer...as I have no problems with mediware...I would maybe try downloading firefox again...reinstalling it.

I also use firefox and don't have your problem. Occasionally due to slow loading at the site the number won't change, and I'll get "you clicked wrong number" message. Just close out the page and redo the link.
Since IE is working, would appear to be a setting on firefox that is messing you up. Which version are you using?
Go to Tools - Options : then check your web features. If you're having java errors then uncheck the box "for originating site only" under load images. I checked it once and it created a nightmare for me on several sites.

when i reinstalled i downloaded the installer right from mozilla. as for the load images setting. that box isn't checked. i'll go start scanning with my spyware scanners but i don't know what good that will do thanks for trying though
btw how do i redo the links? if i click refresh sometimes it will say "you already clicked this link"

Depends on the link. If it's in-frame then just close out the page. MoMT and Pbg can just be refreshed, the others you just have to wait till reset.

just about 95% of the mediwar ones are framed. maybe i should take this issue to firefox/mozilla forum? i haven't ran the scans though because i fell asleep but i will do so.

yep...run the scans first...i think some of the links in yarolds gives me bad/critical spyware crap...my adaware removes this and all is well after...
your idea of taking this problem to mozilla forums is also a good one so i wish you luck and sorry i have no more suggestions

lol I'm a bit late here but when I get this problem the best wat to deal with it is to clcik on the persons name whose mediwar link you are on. This takes you to their profile page. Then you click on their name again and it takes you back to their recruitment screen. When you do this the image always load up...If it doesn't I sometimes have it opened in a new tab (I open all mediwar links in a new tab by clicking the persons name anyways so that when i give them a click I can copy and paste the result into and in game message on mediwar to prove I click them properly).
Sorry if I'm dragging this thread out but I was looking for some information on something else and came accross this thread.
cheer, eveilsor
